Continuing with out Stream of New Years Eve reports, we now turn to Atlanta and the Variety Playhouse where the Derek Trucks Band performed on the 30th as well as the 31st. Count M’Butu played percussion throughout the two performances and Susan Tedeschi was also on hand for both nights, adding vocals and guitar to such songs as Feel So Bad and Lovelight. On Thursday the Dirty Dozen Brass Band Horns took the stage during Funky President and Ain’t That Lovin’ You. In addition, Dereks brother Duane appeared on drums during Impressions on New Years Eve. DTB Premieres over the two night run included versions of Birdland and Greensleeves.
