Govt Mule is slated to perform in Texas this weekend for the Austin City Limits Festival, which as of the moment is still scheduled to kick off tomorrow at Zilker Park. However, keyboard player Danny Louis will not be performing with the quartet due to a death in his family. Stepping in for the bands Friday performance will be John Medeski. Austin-area fans also should receive an ample dose of Warren Haynes, who will appear with the Allman Brothers Band at ACLF and is scheduled to be on area radio stations both Thursday and Friday. Hell be the guest DJ on KLBJ, 93.7 FM today at 5PM and then will perform an acoustic set tomorrow, also at 5PM on KGSR, 107.1 FM.
Meanwhile, the Mule recently announced the dates on its mid-fall northeast tour, which will follow a series of west coast shows that will take place next month.
