Artists continue to pledge their support for Hurricane Katrina victims via participation in tomorrows Soul to Soul benefit at New York Citys Central Park SummerStage. The latest addition is Laurie Anderson, who will perform with Lou Reed at the event. Soulive will serve as the house band for the show, which also will feature numerous artists with personal and professional ties to New Orleans and the gulf region, including: Allen Toussaint, Ivan Neville, Dr. John, Cassandra Wilson, Angelique Kidjo, Charlie Hunter, Rob Wasserman, Hubert Sumlin, Drive-By Truckers, J Mascis, Bettye LaVette and DJ Logic. An additional unannounced performer or two is likely to join in as well. While the show is free, a $25 donation is suggested, with doors opening at 4:30 and music slated to begin at 5:30.
