The New Deals Darren Shearer is a rare contributor to the sit-in department, but this Saturday the drummer made amends during Brothers Pasts Canadian outing. During Brothers Past’s performance at Torontos El Mocambo, a venue which has boasted infamous performances by the likes of the Rolling Stones and Stevie Ray Vaughn, Shearer stopped by his hometown venue. He also swapped in for Brothers Past drummer Rick Lowenberg for a twenty minute jam approximately a half hour into Brother Pasts set. Brothers Past and the New Deal have shared the stage on numerous occasions, dating back to both bands days playing the Wetlands. Brothers Past performs next Friday at Bostons Paradise, while the New Deal is off until its December 8 performance at Rochester, NYs Water Street Music Hall.
