The 2006 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival will make its triumphant return to the festival grounds over two weekends, on April 28-30 and May 5-7. Many of the confirmed performers are New Orleans residents including Fats Domino, The Meters, Allen Toussaint (who will be joined by Elvis Costello), The Radiators, Irma Thomas, Dr. John, Ivan Neville, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Anders Osborne, the Wild Magnolias and Galactic. Other participants include Dave Matthews Band, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Ani DiFranco, Jimmy Buffett, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Koko Taylor, and Hugh Masekela. While the individual day line-ups have not been announced, the breakdown of the two weekends is now available at the Jazz Fest web site.
