As of late, drummer Adam Deitch has been playing Tuesday night gigs at New York City’s Scenic. These shows kick off close to midnight and a number of other players have been heading over after their own gigs to perform (or just take in the action). This week, Lil John Roberts (Janet Jackson, Al Jarreau, En Vogue), who was in town playing with Rachelle Farrell, showed up and later joined in, as did Deitch’s fellow Lettuce bandmate Eric Krasno. Tomorrow night Deitch will cross coasts with the Adam Deitch Project (which also features Adam Smirnoff on guitar and Stu Brooks on bass) to appear at San Francisco’s Boom Boom Room with DJ Zeph on Friday and Saturday.
