Fade, the latest release from vibes player Tim Collins, also features Charlie Hunter on his eight string and Simon Lott on drums. Next Friday, October 10, Collins will bring out both musicians for a show celebrating the new disc. The Knitting Factory Tap Bar will host the performance in which Collins also will be joined by Matthias Bublath (piano), Zach Brock (violin), Ulrike Schmitz (viola), Chris Hoffman (cello), Dan Loomis (bass) and Matt Blostein (alto sax). On October 7, Ropeadope will release Fade, which our reviewer described as ‘the coolest film score ever recorded for a movie that has yet to even be thought up.’
