Warren Haynes has announced a series of live performances, including 11 solo concerts that will each feature two stripped-down sets of songs that lean into his solo recordings, ranging from hits and rarities to material that influenced his career, including pieces from his Allman Brothers Band days. On the heels of his solo jaunt, the Warren Haynes Band will follow up with four new appearances after his Suwannee Amp Jam slots in Live Oak, Fla., on Feb. 27.

Haynes’ solo dates will pick up on February 12, at The Center for the Arts in Grass Valley, Calif., before spending the next night on The Fillmore stage in San Francisco. On Valentine’s Day, he’ll continue his tour, performing at the Uptown Theatre Napa, before two nights of early and late shows at Blue Note Los Angeles, on February 17 and 18. Two nights later, music will continue in Santa Fe, N.M., before a three-part sweep through Texas and a Caverns finale in Pelham, Tenn.

Separating the conclusion of solo dates and the onset of newly added Warren Haynes Band concerts is the bandleader’s highly anticipated slot at the Suwannee Amp Jam, where he is billed to perform solo and with Gov’t Mule, John Scofield, moe., and Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country. After turning in time in the Sunshine State, the Haynes Band, featuring Terence Higgins (drums), Kevin Scott (bass), and Matt Slocum (keys), will make their way to Alabama before a trio of Northeast dates.

“Although I have done a few solo dates here and there, I’ve never afforded myself the opportunity to do an actual solo tour, so I’m extremely excited about this,” shares Haynes.

“Performing by myself gives me the opportunity to express myself in a completely different way from performing with a band. The focus becomes much more about my voice and the songs themselves and less about virtuoso guitar playing, although I try to include some fun guitar stuff as well. Anytime I get the chance to do something that I don’t get to do often enough is a rewarding experience for me and hopefully for the audience as well,” he says via press release.
