The Phoenix has announced the artist lineup for the second-annual Music on the Mountain, a special benefit festival celebrating recovery and supporting Trey Anastasio’s Divided Sky Foundation.

Set to stage at the Jackson Gore Village of Ludlow, Vt.’s Okemo Mountain, the celebrated event’s return will follow the Divided Sky Foundation’s annual Fun(d) Run with a jam-heavy afternoon of performances on Saturday, May 17. All proceeds will go towards the Divided Sky Foundation, which strives to support individuals affected by addiction and foster sobriety through the Divided Sky Residential Recovery Program.

The second Music on the Mountain event expands substantially on 2024’s three-act premiere. On Saturday, attendees will be treated to performances from the Divided Sky All-Stars, ace bassist Karina Rykman, legendary jazz space-travelers Sun Ra Arkestra, Russ Lawton and Ray Paczkowski’s avant-funk duo Soule Monde and local singer-songwriter Evan Jennison. The newly-assembled all-stars are helmed by returning headliner Anders Osborne, accompanied by Daniel Donato, Rykman, Natalie Cressman, Paczkowski and Lawton.

“As a person in recovery, I understand how valuable it is to individuals in early sobriety to have access to an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive community where they can begin to build a solid foundation for their new sober lives,” Anastasio shared on his organization’s purpose last year. “At The Divided Sky Recovery Program, our mission is to deliver supportive and compassionate programming with dignity and respect for individuals and their families affected by addiction. We do this by offering a safe environment for men and women to build the foundation necessary to live a productive, healthy, and sober life.”

While Music on the Mountain proper will begin at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, the second-annual event has also introduced a Friday night component. On May 16, early arrivals to the grounds can experience a mocktail/dinner affair and campfire jam with Osborne, Donato and Steve Poltz.

Through Music on the Mountain, the Divided Sky Foundation and The Phoenix–a national nonprofit committed to reframing substance use disorder and recovery–aspire to promote a movement of sober-inclusive music events and festivals. Tickets for the event will go on sale tomorrow, March 7, via Dice. For tickets and more information, visit musiconthemtn.com.
