Warren Haynes Presents: Christmas Jam will not return this December. The time-honored holiday tradition will take the season off after Hurricane Helene generated mass devastation to the host city, Asheville, N.C. News of the shift in event plans arrived via social media in a multi-paragraph post breaking down the effects of the natural disasters, while also promising the 2025 return of the 33rd annual occasion.

The post started by outlining the ongoing repercussions of the natural disaster in North Carolina: “The devastation from Hurricane Helene in Asheville has been heartbreaking. Despite the immense challenges to every day life and the future, the community has come together in an inspiring way, with strangers helping one another.”

“Rebuilding will take time and collective effort. Unfortunately, holding a concert in Asheville this year isn’t possible, as resources are focused on emergency efforts. Christmas Jam 33 will take place in Asheville in 2025,” the post promised.

“That said, we know the people of Asheville, Western Carolina and everyone effected by Hurricane Helene as well as Hurricane Milton are in need of support and we are working on several initiatives including other benefit concerts in order to raise funds quickly,” wrapping the intent for future charitable occasions.

Since 1988, Warren Haynes has presented and curated the annual music marathon. The event aims to give back to the local community via Habitat For Humanity and BeLoved Asheville. Jam proceeds have assisted in the construction of over 50 homes, exceeding more than $2.8 million in financial support.

Past iterations of Warren Haynes Presents: Christmas Jam have included The Allman Brothers Band, Gov’t Mule, Bob Weir, Trey Anastasio, Widespread Panic, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Phil Lesh, and many more musicians committed to assisting others through participation in the annual charity concert.
