On Friday, November 28, Railroad Earth introduced two new members into its lineup during their live performance at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, Pa. In the group’s setlist notes, they recorded: “This show marked the first to welcome George Guthrie on band & guitar and Andrew Ryan on bass.” The band followed up on social media the next day, bidding farewell to former members and welcoming newcomers.
In a social media follow-up, the group addressed the news, writing: “As it tends to go, change is part of the natural order, and we wanted to share an update as we move into a new chapter. We’re cheering on Mike Robinson in his latest venture supporting Sierra Ferrell and sending lots of love to Dave Speranza and his growing family. Please join us in welcoming George Guthrie (banjo/guitar) and Andrew Ryan (bass) to the stage!”
Guthrie and Ryan join the longstanding band, which includes Todd Sheaffer (vocals, guitar), Tim Carbone (violin, electric guitar, vocals), John Skehan (mandolin, bouzouki, piano, vocals), Carey Harmon (drums, hand percussion, vocals), and Matt Slocum (keys). Notably, Speranza joined the band in 2022, replacing Andrew Altman. Meanwhile, Robinson became a touring member of the Garden State ensemble in 2019, before the latest bout of changes.
Following the debut of new members on Friday night, the newly established Railroad Earth lineup will perform during Strings & Sol in Puerto Morelos, Mexico, from December 11-15, 2025.
Tickets remain on sale.
