After 35 years of tirelessly advancing the contemporary shape of bluegrass with their fluid, genre-bending sound, Leftover Salmon reach a long-awaited landmark today with the announcement of their Grand Ole Opry debut. For their first-ever appearance on country’s biggest stage, the progressive sextet will tap a litany of special guests for a night of top-tier jamming at Nashville, Tenn.’s hallowed Ryman Auditorium. The band and its stacked cast of collaborators will take the stage on November 12.

Leftover Salmon announced its well-earned rite of passage with a post to its social media feeds, writing “Excited to make our debut at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN on November 12th! We’ll grace the stage of this legendary venue with Del McCoury Band, Jason Eady, Whisperin’ Bill and more!”

For their Opry debut, Leftover Salmon will underscore their legacy and orbit by hosting new and old friends alike. For a portion of its performance, the ensemble will welcome support from the legendary Del McCoury Band, whose longstanding relationship with Salmon dates back over two decades and has included impromptu festival collaborations and co-headline tours alike. The show will also feature the iconic “Whispering” Bill Anderson, a longtime member of the Opry, the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and Lauren Alaina, the vocal powerhouse widely known as a two-time CMT Music Award winner, an American Idol runner-up and the youngest member of the Opry. Jason Eady and Randall King will round out the bill at Country’s Mother Church.
