Jam Cruise, the annual floating festival that celebrates the spirit of improvisational music on the high seas, has revealed its daily musical schedule for the once-in-a-lifetime experience. The gathering will occur from Feb. 14 through 19, 2025, leaving port from Miami and stopping in Cozumel, Mexico (Sunday, Feb. 16) and Belize City (Monday, Feb. 17).
After setting sail from Port Miami on Valentine’s Day, Friday, Feb. 14, the traditional sail away toast will be succeeded by a musical performance from Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe on the Pool Deck, which will keep the entertainment flowing from 10:30 p.m. through 12 a.m., with music from STS9 and later, Pink Talking Fish.
Elsewhere on the ship, day-one performers include Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Lettuce, Tank and the Bangas, The Psycodelics, Alex Wasily, Jeremy Kaplan, Erik Yates, Club D’elf, and the very special Vote to the Boat set, in partnership with HeadCount and Relix, where the fans can suggest a musical addition for the impending festival. Day two, Saturday, Feb. 15, picks up with a packed schedule of music, including an extensive lineup of artists playing on the Pool Deck: Hot Buttered Rum, Polyrhythmics, ALO, The Nth Power, Snarky Puppy, Andy Frasco & the U.N., and Dogs in a Pile. Sunday, Feb. 16, is a port day in Cozumel, Mexico. The music picks up at 6 p.m. on the Pool Deck with a set from Dragon Smoke, followed by Summer Zen, Galactic and Lettuce. The newly announced Prince/Bowie tribute set will occur in the Pantheon feature an amalgamated lineup comprised of Cal Kehoe (Pink Talking Fish), Josh Schwartz (The Horn Section), Sammi Garett (Cool Cool Cool), Eric Gould (Pink Talking Fish), Rory Dolan (lespecial), Adrian Tramontano (Twiddle), Steve Leason (Pink Talking Fish), Greg Sanderson and Chris Bowers (The Horn Section, Cool Cool Cool), and Alex Wasily (Dumpstaphunk).
February 17 will see secondary sets from a plethora of performers, in addition to newcomers, such as LP Giobbi, who will present her Dead House set. On the final day of Jam Cruise 21, one final Vote to the Boat set is slated to happen, as well as more music, including The Nth Power present Earth Wind and Fire, Allie Kral’s Pickin’ Lounge, Lebo’s annual Garden Pool set and more.
