This fall, Robert Glasper is returning to New York City’s Blue Note Jazz Club for Robtober 2024, the latest edition of his annual residency at the vaunted musical institution. Set to kick off on Wednesday, Oct. 2, and continue through Nov. 3, Glasper’s residency announcement arrives in tandem with his latest full-length release Code Derivation, which lands on streaming platforms today, Aug. 28. In the course of his five weeks in the Big Apple, Glasper is slated to perform on all Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, delivering two impressive sets each night.

Glasper’s 25-show sprint also precedes the five-time Grammy winner’s long-awaited appearances at The Black Radio Experience, which the artist’s Black Radio Productions will present alongside Blue Note Entertainment Group from Aug. 30 to Sept. 1. Glasper will serve as the Artist in Residence at the Napa, Calif. event, taking the stage alongside Musiq Soulchild and Marsha Ambrosius in a program inspired by his Black Radio recording series and acclaimed Blue Note residencies. Other 2024 headliners include John Legend, Jill Scott and André 3000, with other performances from Glasper, Andra Day, Common & Pete Rock, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Madlib, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Terrace Martin and more. 

Before embarking on the extensive Blue Note residency, Glasper will round through his touring, with performances planned at Dallas’ Bruton Theater at The Black Academy of Arts and Letters on Sept. 14, the Holland Performing Arts Center in Omaha, Neb. on Sept. 27 and Monterey, Calif.’s Monterey Jazz Festival 2024, scheduled for Sept. 29. After wrapping the series in November, the musician will perform at Mesa, Ariz.’s Mesa Arts Center on Nov. 9 before heading abroad for a series of shows in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France and England. Glasper’s final billing of 2024 arrives in December with five nights at Chicago’s City Winery Chicago booked for Dec. 2-5.
