Gary Clark Jr. has announced a North American tour to support his upcoming album, JPEG RAW, set to release on March 22. The tour will kick off from Will Rogers Auditorium in Fort Worth, Texas on May 8 and make 25 stops, including Dallas, Chicago, Detroit, Boston, New York and a performance at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tenn. Before taking his new material on tour, Clark will debut the lead single “Maktub” live on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on February 16.
After his home-state debut and a second engagement in Dallas on May 9, Clark will wind through the Midwest and Mountain regions for nine shows from May 11-24, including stops at The Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo. on May 13 and The Fillmore Detroit in Detroit on May 21. The artist’s May 25 performance in Lewiston, N.Y. will ring in his eight-stop Northeast run, which features sets at History in Toronto, Ontario on May 26, the Palace Theatre in Albany, N.Y. on June 1 and finally Boston’s legendary MGM Music Hall at Fenway on June 7.
Next, Clark will stage a series of prestigious appearances in the Mid-Atlantic states, including Philadelphia’s The Met Philadelphia on June 8, Washington’s Wolf Trap on June 9 and New York’s Radio City Music Hall on June 11, culminating in a booking at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival on June 14. To cap off his 2024 touring, Clark will perform in Los Angeles on August 21 at an undetermined venue.
JPEG RAW is Clark’s follow-up to his celebrated 2019 release This Land, which earned the artist three Grammy Awards for Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance and Best Contemporary Blues Album. On his forthcoming project, Clark explores new dimensions to his sound by assuming influence from jazz, trip-hop and global music on his trademark blend of rock, R&B and electric blues. Through poignant lyrics and driving, gritty, genre-bending arrangements, Clark’s fourth studio album shows the artist far afield of his canon and at full force.
Pre-sale tickets for Clark’s 2024 tour are available now with code ENERGY. General on-sale begins on Friday, Feb. 2 at 10 a.m. local time. For more information, visit garyclarkjr.com.
