Phish have announced Mondegreen, its 11th self-produced festival and first in nine years. The impending event will include four days and nights of music, presented by the Vermont foursome, over August 15 through 18 at The Woodlands in Dover, Del.
The impending gathering represents Phish’s first live performance on a Delaware stage in over two decades and the latest chapter in their most determined and beloved tradition by the band, which dates back to 1996’s The Clifford Ball, which was held at the decommissioned Plattsburgh Air Force Base in upstate N.Y.
In the years that followed Phish’s historic Clifford Ball gathering, the ensemble celebrated the new millennium with a New Year’s Eve festival at Big Cypress Indian Reservation in Florida, drawing a record-setting crowd of 80,000 people and playing a massive 7-hour set. Most recently, the band hosted 2015’s Magnaball at New York’s legendary Watkins Glen International.
Continuing their longstanding tradition, Phish will offer fans and followers the festival experience this summer with a slate of performances, interactive fan experiences, specially curated regional food and drink, art installations, and much more. Mondegreen is centrally located, with easy access from all points in the northeast and mid-Atlantic. The festival site will feature an abundance of on-site camping and nearby hotel availability.
Apart from the band’s impending festival return, they will go to Mexico for Phish: Riviera Maya, a sold-out concert vacation at Moon Palace, Cancún, Mexico, from February 21-24, followed by their first-time Sphere appearances in Las Vegas, April 18-21.
Mondegreen travel packages go on sale this Thursday, January 18, at 11 AM ET. Weekend passes and camping go on sale this Friday, January 19, at 11 AM ET.
