This evening, Friday, Nov. 22, an exceptional lineup of all-star talent will participate in a charity concert that will benefit the Vermont Community Foundation’s Flood Response and Recovery efforts. Dubbed Hug Your Farmer: A Night at the Opry, the one-off event will occur at The Flynn in Burlington, Vt. Tickets remain on sale.

The night of goodwill entertainment will feature a mix of artists, including Grace Potter, Guster’s Ryan Miller, Mike & Tessa Gordon, Kat Wright, Ryan Montbleau, Rich Price (of The Sweet Remains), Brett Hughes, Joshua Panda, Lowell Thompson, Nicole Nelson, Dwight Ritcher, Eric George, Pappy Biondo, Matt Hagen, and more.

The musicians above will be supported by a house band led by Bob Wagner (guitar) and comprised of Josh Weinstein (bass), Steve Hadeka (drums), Leon Campos (keys), Caleb Elder (fiddle), Matt Flinner (mandolin), and Brett Lanier (pedal steel). In addition to the artists already listed, Hug Your Farmer features guest musicians Ben Lively (fiddle), Tony Naples (pedal steel), Marie Claire (keys) and Pat Melvin (bass).

Since its inception, the occasion has raised more than $400,000, providing major support to Vermont’s farming community. Last year’s sold-out gathering, Hug Your Farmer: Hard Rain, showcased live performances by Gordon, Martin Sexton, Chadwick Stokes (of Dispatch), and Kelli O’Hara, raking in more than $200,000 in relief.

Tickets remain on sale for tonight’s concert. Follow this link for more information or to purchase access to the benefit show.
