Over the weekend, singer-songwriter Noah Kahan made his debut on the Saturday Night Live stage, showcasing his talent with a performance of “Dial Drunk” from his latest album, Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever), along with the project’s title track.

Kahan initially released a condensed version of the album in 2022, but in June, he expanded it by adding seven additional tracks, including “Dial Drunk,” a collaborative effort with Post Malone. Post Malone didn’t join Kahan on stage that Saturday; however, the songwriter’s singing was peppered with sorrowful pangs reminiscent of their duet.

For his second performance–which, like the first, was announced by guest host Emma Stone– Kahan chose the poignant and timely “Stick Season,” which has garnered attention since its release thanks to a welcomed shout-out to Vermont, twangy instrumentation and a subsequent cover by Olivia Rodrigo.

Looking ahead, Kahan is gearing up for an upcoming tour that kicks off in Mexico next month. He will also be performing at several festivals in the upcoming months, including South Carolina’s High Water Festival, Atlanta’s Shaky Knees Festival and Montreal’s Osheaga Festival.
