Next month, Tom Waits and Iggy Pop are slated to come together on the British airwaves. The famed musicians will meet on Sunday, Dec. 3, for a two-hour special on BBC Radio 6 Music channel from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. GMT. The impending discussion represents the first to feature the American musician/ composer in recent years.

According to the program’s preview, shared via social media, BBC Radio 6 Music disclosed that the event would be “Echoing their famous joint appearance in Jim Jarmusch’s ‘Coffee and Cigarettes,’ the two-hour programme will see the pair pump the Confidential Jukebox full of nickels and dimes and spin some of their favourite tracks to one another.”

During the forthcoming discussion, the pair will toss stories back and forth, both personal and independent, about their time and experiences in the music industry. Particular musical plays are also expected, presenting “Bangcock” by Alex Chilton, Pauline Oliveros’ “Bye Bye Butterfly,” and Frank Ocean’s contemporary adaptation of the 1962 classic, “Moon River” among other choice selections.

To listen live from the East Coast, turn on BBC Radio 6 Music at 11 a.m. on Sunday, December 3. For West Coast listeners, the program will commence a couple of hours earlier at 8 a.m. Visit  BBC Radio 6 to stream.
