Courtney Barnett has announced the release of a new instrument album, End Of The Day, due Sept. 8, 2023, via Milk! Records and Mom+Pop. The forthcoming collection comprises 17 improvisational tracks, created initially as a part of the score to Anonymous Club, a documentary about the artist, released in 2021. In addition, she also shared new fall tour dates in support of the LP.

Dubbed a “meditative, slow-burner” via a press release, the impending album has been previewed today through the drop of an ambient collection of tracks pulled from the LP. Included are “Start Somewhere,” “Life Balance,” and “First Slow.” The trio of mellow tunes has been shared alongside a visual companion piece directed by filmmaker Claire Marie Vogel.

End Of The Day represents the final LP to be released via Mom+Pop–after 70 plus drops in over a decade–before the label ends. In addition to news about the album, Barnett also shared a string of tour dates that will support the impending drop. Included is an Oct. 11 appearance in Brattleboro, Vt., prior to a pair of performances at New York’s National Sawdust venue.

On Oct. 14, Barnett will play at Sanctuary First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia before an ensuing stop at Washington, D.C. Atlantis venue. The final tour stops will take the Australian-born artist to the other side of the country, where she’ll play two shows at Los Angeles’ Masonic Lodge.
