Today, beloved jamband quintet Goose announced the release of a live album in honor of their seminal performances in New York almost one year ago titled, Live at Radio City Music Hall. This landmark album captures the magic of their historic shows at the legendary New York City venue in late June 2022 and features special sit-ins from Trey Anastasio and Father John Misty.

For Goose, a band that had been rapidly rising in popularity at the time–following the revival of the live music scene–the Radio City Music Hall shows proved to be a pivotal moment in their career. The shows, presented by Dayglo Presents and Bowery Presents on June 24 and 25, 2022, showcased the band’s vision and evolving repertoire, featuring tracks from their critically acclaimed breakthrough album, Dripfield. The release includes the complete setlists from both of the nights, including intimate acoustic renditions of favorites like “Elmeg the Wise,” mesmerizing covers of Bruce Springsteen and Arcade Fire, and The Beatles’ classic “Tomorrow Never Knows,” featuring Anastasio on guitar and Misty on drums to close out the weekend.

Reflecting on the significance of playing at Radio City Music Hall, Goose’s Rick Mitarotonda said, “Playing Radio City Music Hall felt like a unifying moment for the band. Everything really lined up in a serendipitous way, like we couldn’t have planned it any better. I was anticipating being nervous considering all of the history and prestige of that room, but it surprisingly ended up feeling really comfortable. I think that speaks to the magic of that venue and the moment for the band. It felt like both reaching a destination and opening a door to a new beginning at the same time.”

Peter Anspach added, “There’s a weight to playing Radio City Music Hall. Stepping into the room just feels like you’re entering a holy place. Our fans helped us relax on that stage and realize if we could do our thing there, then we could go anywhere.”

Following the release of Live at Radio City Music Hall, Goose will hit the road for an exciting summer tour. The journey kicks off with a sold-out two-night run at Louisville Palace Theatre in Louisville, KY, on June 22 and 23. Highlights of the tour include a special Independence Day celebration at Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, N.J., on July 3 and 4, and performances at renowned venues like Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Masonic Temple Theatre in Detroit, Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara, Calif., Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas, and Fox Theater in Oakland, Calif. The tour culminates with a sold-out two-night extravaganza at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo., on October 5 and 6.

In addition to their headline shows, Goose will also grace the stages of several prominent festivals and events, including Electric Forest in Rothbury, Mich., Peach Music Festival in Scranton, Pa., Resonance Music and Arts Festival in Garrettsville, Ohio (headlining two nights with four unique sets), Levitate Music and Arts Festival in Marshfield, Mass., Newport Folk Festival in Newport, R.I., Borderland Music Festival in Buffalo, N.Y., Cascade Equinox Festival in Redmond, Ore., Ohana Fest in Dana Point, Calif., and Suwanee Hulaween in Live Oak, Fla.

Goose is not only dedicated to delivering incredible music but also to supporting mental health in the music industry. In their commitment to building a safer and more supportive music community, Goose will donate $1 from each tour ticket to Backline, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that connects music industry professionals and their families with mental health and wellness resources.
