The Disco Biscuits spent this past weekend making the rounds in their home state of Pennsylvania. Each of the three shows was a festive, multi-band bill and, throughout the run, the Philadelphia-bred band both welcomed some special guests and busted out some long-shelved songs.

On Friday, the group performed at Johnstown, PA’s Flood City Music Fesitval, offering two sets as part of a lineup that also included Aron Magner’s Deadtronica, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Greensky Bluegrass, Karina Rykman, Solar Circuit, Magoo, Jennifer Hartswick Band and Habatat, among others. During the Biscuits’ show, the quartet invited out Rykman and Trey Anastasio Band trombonist Natalie Cressman, who was onsite as part of Hartswick’s band, to help them through their first cover of David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” since May 6, 2023. The song ended up extending past the 16-minute mark, and later on in the show, the group revived “Another Spin” for the first time since June 28, 2025, marking their first take on the tune with new drummer Marlon Lewis. While on site, Cressman and Hartswick also sat in with Greensky, who expanded to their 6reensky Bluegrass configuration with Bowling on keys, for “Lose My Way.”

Then, on Saturday and Sunday, the Disco Biscuits headlined shows at King Of Prussia, PA’s Heuser Park. On night one, Eggy and DJ Marbs Menthol opened and the Disco Biscuits busted out the long-lost Planet Anthem original “Big Wrecking Ball” for the first time since August 26, 2010. (The tune, written by guitarist Jon Gutwillig, was only played for a brief period that year.) Finally, on Sunday, LeSpecial and DJ Marbs Menthol provided support duties, and the Disco Biscuits offered another cut for the first time with Lewis, Marc Brownstein’s Uncivilized Area classic “Morph Dusseldorf,” which had been on the shelf since August 27, 2025.

Up next, the Disco Biscuits will perform a “powered down” show at Telluride, CO’s Telluride Jazz Festival on August 7 and a Tractorbeam set at Long Pond, PA’s Elements Music & Arts Festival on August 9.
