Dave Matthews Band have announced a pair of concerts slated to occur in South Africa this winter. The group shared that their shows will take place at SunBet Arena in Pretoria on December 10 and the Grand Arena in Cape Town on December 12.

These shows mark the band’s first performances in Matthews’ home country of South Africa since 2013. Notably, the bandleader was born in Johannesburg and spent his first few years of life residing in the southernmost country in Africa before relocating to New York State.

The South African appearances arrive on the heels of Dave Matthews Band releasing their 10th studio album, Walk Around The Moon, via RCA Records last month. The set is led by powerful singles such as “Madmen’s Eyes,” “Monsters,” and the LP’s title track, “Walk Around The Moon,” and reflects on the current times and urges its listeners to find common ground.

Before arriving in South Africa, Dave Matthews Band will continue their extensive North American tour, which includes the band’s first show at the historic Forest Hills Stadium in New York on June 9 and stops at large stadiums and amphitheaters across the United States.
