Gov’t Mule have signed on for a set of performances with The Avett Brothers this summer. The Warren Haynes-led ensemble will play shows in Missouri, Illinois and Indiana, which were initially announced by The Avett Brothers last month.

The bands are set to join forces on June 16, with a show at the Ozarks Amphitheater in Camdenton, Mo. Next, Gov’t Mule will tag along to Peoria, Ill., for a June 20 performance at the Peoria Civic Center. Then, on June 22, they will head over to Cedar Rapids, Ind. for a set at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse.

These new dates will occur during the weeks between Gov’t Mule’s spring tour–which wraps in Asheville, N.C. on May 20– and their impending Dark Side Of The Mule jaunt, where they plan to dish out an iconic spin on Pink Floyd’s seminal 1973 album Dark Side of the Moon album with support from drummer Jason Bonham, son of Led Zeppelins original backbeat, John Bonham.

Tickets for The Avett Brothers with special guest Gov’t Mule at Ozarks Amphitheater, Peoria Civic Center and Alliant Energy Powerhouse are on-sale now, via Ticketmaster.  View the Gov’t Mule’s full summer schedule on their official website.
