After delivering their initial artist lineup for the 2023 iteration of the Northlands Music and Arts Festival, slated for June 16 and 17 in Swanzey, N.H., the folks behind the impending live music experience have added Super Sonic Shorties to the summertime bill.

The star-studded Super Sonic Shorties lineup will see drummer Nikki Glaspie (The Nth Power), saxophonist Katty Rodriguez (Beyoncé), bassist Tonya Sweets (Lizzo), trumpeter Jennifer Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band), guitarist Ella Feingold (Silk Sonic), keyboardist Amy Bellamy (G. Love), percussionist Marcie Chapa (Beyoncé), and vocalist Kanika Moore (Doom Flamingo) come together for a special performance at Northlands.

“I’m excited to be a part of a festival that recognizes the importance of empowering women at every level of our organization, not just ownership,” offered co-owner of Northlands Jen Meyerhardt via press release. “It creates an incredible atmosphere and we’re thrilled to have Super Sonic Shorties add to that experience.”

To mark the addition of Super Sonic Shorties on the lineup and in support of Women’s History Month, a portion of proceeds from each ticket sold between now and Wednesday, March 15 will benefit FEMME HOUSE, a non-profit organization fostering opportunities for women and gender-expansive individuals behind the scenes in music.

“FEMME HOUSE’s core mission is to provide visual representation and opportunity at the highest levels of the music industry, and we’re so glad to be supported in that mission by partners like Northlands, who are serious not only about creating opportunities, but supporting organizations like ours so that we can do the same,” added Lauren Spalding, FEMME HOUSE co-founder.

Super Sonic Shorties join over 30 regional and national touring acts, including headliners The String Cheese Incident, Phish bassist Mike Gordon, Goose’s acoustic off-shoot Orebolo, Twiddle, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Andy Frasco.
