ElephantProof, the collective comprised of Ben Atkind (drums), Sean Cronin (guitar), Chris Enright (keys) and Shon Gordon (bass), have announced that they will perform a free concert on Sept. 17 at the Levitt Pavilion in Westport, Conn.

The Saturday afternoon event, slated to begin at 1:30 p.m. local time, will also include music from the Connecticut-based ensemble Funky Dawgz, whose wailing horns have been heard alongside Dispatch, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and more. 

The main act, ElephantProof, emerged in 2012 when the quartet met while attending the Berklee College of Music, at which time they worked their way into the Boston live music scene, becoming a must-see act. In 2014, band members began to pursue different musical ventures, only to reconvene in the studio in 2021 to complete EP EP, a seven-track collection of music written over the past decade. 

Now, the band returns to the road, ready with new material and eager to perform. To attend, ElephantProof’s free concert at Levitt Pavilion, you must first reserve a ticket for entry, which can be accessed via this link.

Earlier this week, Goose’s acoustic side project, Orebolo, featuring Rick Mitarotonda, Peter Anspach and Jeff Arevalo, announced they would also perform at Levitt Pavilion. The ensemble is scheduled to play on Sept. 7.
