Tomorrow, Australian sensation Courtney Barnett will kick off her touring festival dubbed Here and There in Kansas City, Mo., at The Midland Theatre with accompaniment by Lucy Dacus and Quinn Christopherson. As a preview of what’s to come, Barnett stopped by the CBS Mornings music-focused program “Saturday Sessions” to perform a handful of tunes off her 2021 LP, Things Take Time, Take Time, during yesterday’s episode.

The Saturday morning broadcast featured Barnett focusing on her most recent full-length release as she and her band ran through three well-played numbers. During her brief on-air performance, the songstress dug into the Things Take Time, Take Time opening track “Rae Street,” in addition to “Write a List of Things to Look Forward To” and “Before You Gotta Go,” which Barnett also performed during an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, last month.

Following yesterday’s broadcast and Barnett’s Monday night tour kick-off, she’ll continue on the road, making a handful of appearances across the Midwest, before hopping over to the East Coast midway through the month. After a gig at The Shed in Chicago, Ill., on Aug. 16, with Alvvays and The Beths, Barnetts will hop coasts for a Portland, Ore., concert on Aug. 20. She’ll jump up and down the West Coast, making appearances in Washington and California before heading to The Lone Star State in early September for performances in Dallas and Austin, before a tour closer at Denver, Colo.’s Mission Ballroom on Sept. 3.
