Last night, Phish took the stage at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, N.Y., for the second consecutive evening following Friday night’s massive display, which included a variety of tunes from the band’s pre-2000 repertoire. The foursome followed up with two jammed-out sets and an unforgettable encore, which paid tribute to the historical venue grounds–the site of the famed Woodstock Music and Art Fair–and Jimi Hendrix’s celebrated set from the 1969 affair.

Phish’s second night at Bethel Woods got underway with a newer song to enter the group’s catalog, “Evening Song,” which debuted at New York’s Madison Square Garden during the first night of their 2019 New Year’s Eve run. They kept the trend alive on the second song selection, landing on 2018’s “Turtle in the Clouds” before moving into “Vultures” and the first “My Sweet One” of their summer tour.

The initial set continued with “Undermind” before the band busted out “Fast Enough For You” for the first time since June 30, 2019, when Phish performed the Rift number at the former BB&T Pavilion in Camden, N.J. The latter melted into “Divided Sky” before finishing the set with a coupling of “Suzy Greenberg” into “Ghost,” which seemed to conjure the historical spirit of the site as the band prepared for their second set.

They picked up the next set with a rare “Prince Caspian” opener, which flowed into “Crosseyed and Painless.” The completely segued latter half continued with “Miss You,” a number that bled into “Set Your Soul Free,” which contained a short “Crosseyed and Painless” jam within. Finally, they returned to the set opener, “Prince Caspian,” before moving through “Twist” and a set ending “Carini.”

The night’s encore was further amplified as Phish delivered “The Horse,” last performed during their Rivera Maya, Mexico stint on Feb. 23, 2020. As is typical for the band, they moved into “Silent in the Morning” next. Then, they landed on a “Fuck Your Face” and “Buffalo Bill” before paying homage to Hendrix on a cover of his 1967 number, “Fire,” which has graced Phish’s catalog since 1984. Moreover, last night’s rendition saw Trey Anastasio perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” in its entirety to cap the night at the historic venue.

Following last night’s fun in Bethel, N.Y., Phish will pick back up tonight at Xfinity Theatre in Hartford, Conn. Tickets are still available and can be purchased here
