Jacklyn LaBranch, the longtime singer for The Jerry Garcia Band has announced that she will join The Garcia Project for two performances on the band’s Days Between tour. The shows will take place in Massachusetts during the annual occurrence of the Days Between, which marks the time connecting Garcia’s birth and death date, Aug. 1 through 9.

LaBranch performed in The Jerry Garcia Band from 1982 through 1995, adding her signature vocals to many of the group’s beloved tunes. She’ll continue the trend by lending her pipes alongside The Garcia Project’s Kat Walkerson and Mik Bondy on Aug. 5 at The Narrows Center For The Arts in Fall River, Mass., and on Aug. 6 in North Truro, Mass., at Payomet Performing Arts Center.

Before LaBranch joins the band on tour, The Garcia Project will welcome another special guest, Maria Muldaur, who performed with The Jerry Garcia Band from 1977 through 1978 and appeared on the seminal Cats Under The Stars album. Muldaur will join the band the night before LaBranch, on Aug. 4, when The Garcia Project play at the NBT Summer Concert Series in Norwich, N.Y.
