On Tuesday, The String Cheese Incident took the stage at the Dillon Amphitheater in Dillon, Colo. The two-set performance saw the band take on several fan favorites and newer tunes like 2021’s “Short Shack Willie” and “Coo Coo’s Nest.” To cap the night, the troupe welcomed The Motet’s Dave Watts during the last two songs of the second set.

The String Cheese Incident kicked off their first night at Dillon Amphitheater with “Sometimes a River,” off the 2015 album, One Step Closer. They continued with a segued pairing of “Lost” into “Search” before landing on 2014’s “Stay Through.” A cover of Billy & Liza’s “Barstool” was played before the group took on “Short Shack Willie.”

The first set continued with three segued songs. Their first was Kyle Hollingsworth’s “Piece of Mine,” which bled into “Coo Coo’s Nest” and finally a take on 1998’s “Restless Wind.” For their second set, The String Cheese Incident began with the traditional “I Know You Rider,” which was followed by “Give Me the Love” coupled with “Outside and Inside.”

The band returned to Hollingsworth’s solo repertoire on “iBam!,” which came before “It Is What It Is.” Then, Watts took the stage and joined them on “Drums” prior to the set ender, “Let’s Go Outside,” a fitting ode to The Centennial State’s natural splendor. For their encore, the group chose to take on “Smile.”
