Last night, Leftover Salmon announced that multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Jay Starling has become an official band member and is set to perform with the band all summer long and into the foreseeable future.

“Jay comes from a legendary bluegrass family and we are head over heels excited about having him officially join the band,” said Vince Herman in the post. “Keys, dobro and an incredible voice all in one guy! Welcome to the circus, Jay”.

Starling is the son of the iconic bluegrass outfit, The Seldom Scene, founding member, John Starling. He has had a view of the highest peaks of the bluegrass world since he could hum a tune and has used it all to his advantage and to listener’s delight. Before joining Leftover Salmon he helped found Charlottesville, Va.-based cover band Love Canon.

Leftover Salmon are slated to perform at many festivals over the summer including DelFest 2022, Summer Camp Music Festival, Blissfest, Bear’s Picnic and more. They’ll also perform at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre with The String Cheese Incident in Morrison, Colo. on July 16.
