Wilco have announced they will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot by rereleasing a super deluxe edition of the seminal 2002 LP on Sept. 16 via Nonesuch Records. The band has also shared a live recording of “Reservations,” performed at The Pageant in St. Louis, Mo. on July 23, 2002; listen here.

The forthcoming rerelease is comprised of 11 vinyl LPs and one CD containing demos, drafts and instrumentals. Additionally, a live 2002 concert recording and September 2001 radio performance and interview are included in the Yankee Hotel Foxtrot box set.

Wilco’s latest offering also features 82 previously unreleased tracks and a new book that includes interviews with band members Jeff Tweedy, Glenn Kotche and Jim O’Rourke– who mixed the landmark 2002 album. Additionally, the super deluxe edition offers an essay written by author/journalist Bob Mehr and previously unpublished photos of the band making the album at their Chicago studio, The Loft.

Yankee Hotel Foxtrot marked the first LP to feature multi-instrumentalist Leroy Bach and drummer Kotche. They joined founding members Tweedy and John Stirratt and fellow mainstays O’Rourke, Jay Bennett, Craig Christiansen, Ken Coomer, Jessy Greene and Fred Lonberg-Holm.

In celebration of the 20th anniversary and rerelease, Wilco is performing Yankee Hotel Foxtrot in its entirety. The ensemble did so on April 15 at United Palace in New York City and will do it again tonight and tomorrow at the same location. Additionally, from April 22 through 24, Wilco will perform the same set at their Chicago shows. Tickets are still available and can be purchased here

Ahead of their two-night United Palace stand, Wilco stopped by the Late Night Show with Stephen Colbert to perform “Poor Places.” Aizuri Quartet joined them for a perfected take on the track which originally debuted on Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Watch the band’s performance on Colbert below.
