Jon Batiste delivered an outstanding performance at Sunday’s Grammy Awards. The Louisiana native was nominated for 11 Grammys, making him the most-celebrated guest of the evening.

Singer, jazz pianist, and television personality, Batiste garnered golden gramophones for Best American Roots Performance (“Cry”), Best American Roots Song (“Cry”), Best Music Video (“Freedom”), and Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media (Soul).

Batiste then celebrated his achievements with a lively performance of “FREEDOM” from his 2021 album, We Are. The accomplished musician began his theatrical number seated at his piano. Before too long, he exploded from his central perch and busted into an incredible dance performance.

Dressed in a glistening disco-ball-esque tuxedo and surrounded by dancers, Batiste gave his all to the performance. Ultimately, his “FREEDOM” extravaganza could not be contained. Breaking through the proscenium, the musician’s dance party poured out into the audience, ending his vivacious performance on top of pop star Billie Eilish’s table.

Batiste will also host a special artist showcase at New York’s Carnegie Hall on Saturday, May 7th. Purchase tickets here.
