Inimitable jazz ensemble Snarky Puppy have announced that they will be hosting the fifth iteration of their very own GroundUP Music Festival, also known as “GUMfest” in Miami Beach, Fla. The event will take place on Feb. 11 through 13, 2022.

Like previous years Snarky Puppy are set to headline the festival and this year each night will feature the world premiere of new material from the band.

New Zealand singer-songwriter Kimbra is also set to put on a performance intriguingly billed as “Space Jam with Kimbra and Friends (improvised set).” The lineup also features Corey Henry, Emily King and Moonchild and more.

Additionally, there will be two interwoven showcase performances; “Louis Cole featuring Nate Wood, Chris Fishman and Genevieve Artadi” and “Genevieve Artadi featuring Chris Fishman, Louis Cole and Pedro Martins.” Eric Harland will serve as the festival’s artist at large.

“You all know the GUMFest deal.” Shared the ensemble in the caption of their festival announcement post. “Intimate performances, masterclasses, artist-to-artist discussions, one-time-only collaborations, late-night shows, songwriter circles, a capella by the sea, sun, beach, serious food and drink, good people. This one – year #5 – is sure to be extra special.”
