Dead & Company drummer Bill Kreutzmann missed Wednesday’s show at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison Colo. as he did Tuesday’s due to a non-COVID-related illness. Once again Jay Lane filled in on the kit.

Dead & Company kicked off their set with a bundled up John Mayer singing on “Bertha” which led to the band’s first “Good Lovin'” of their fall tour. Bob Weir held down the vocals on the famous Young Rascals cover that the Grateful Dead made a staple of the band’s live performances. They continued their first set with “The Wheel” > “Black-Throated Wind” they then played “Mr. Charlie.” Dead & Company closed the first set with a 22-minute rendition of “Bird Song.”

The second set kicked off with “Playing in the Band” and was a continuous jam from the tour debut of “He’s Gone” > “Uncle John’s Band” > “Terrapin Station” until the set’s close. The second set also featured a cover of “All Along the Watchtower,” and a stunning performance of “Standing on the Moon” under October’s Hunter’s moon. They closed with “Not Fade Away”

Dead & Company returned and encored with a rare electric rendition of “Ripple.” Find the full setlist below.
