Eddie Vedder’s Ohana Music Festival closed the second iteration of its unique musical curations this weekend (slated as an encore festival) on Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, Calif. The Pearl Jam headlined event had a lot to celebrate–from its picturesque location to its immaculate lineup to being a safe and successful festival during uncertain times–the festival delivered.

Pearl Jam capped off the weekend and in doing so brought together a wide array of artists on stage just like they did all weekend and the weekend before from the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith to Sleater‐Kinney to Brandi Carlile.

Pearl Jam opened with their 2020 track “Superblood Wolfmoon” putting not only their vitality on full display, but also locking in the high octane performance they were ready to deliver. They continued with their 2003 track “All Night,” the first of many seamless jumps through their decades-long discography. Other highlights included “Not for You” with a “Modern Girl” tag, a cover of Carlile’s song “Again Today” with Carlile and a passionate rendition of “Daughter.”

They closed with Neil Young’s “Rockin’ In The Free World” with Sleater-Kinney, they were also joined during the song by Carlile, Taylor Hawkins, Chad Smith, the Hanseroth twins, Patti Smyth, Andrew Watt, and Joe Wong.
