Last night, the Black Crowes played at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, N.J., continuing their $hake Your Money Maker Tour. However, the brother-led band broke the mold of their usual performance.

The Shake Your Money Maker Tour shows are usually split into two musical segments, the first is their debut album Shake Your Money Maker which then seamlessly flows into hits from the band and newer material. They then encore with a single classic rock cover.

They’ve been quite consistent with this performance formula, so when they broke out the tour debut of “Oh! Sweet Nuthin'” by the Velvet Underground to split their set up it was a surprise. The backing vocals for the track were provided by backing vocalists Leslie Grant and Mackenzie Adams.

After “Oh! Sweet Nuthin'” Rich Robinson returned to continue the show. They closed with “Thorn in My Pride” and then “Remedy.”

“It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll (but I Like It)” by The Rolling Stones served as their classic rock closer.
