Widespread Panic have announced they will not be performing their run of shows at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on Sept. 16 through 20. The band has rescheduled the shows for Jan. 13 through 17, 2022. Tickets will be honored based on the day of the week the show was previously scheduled.
This run of shows postponement follows Widespread Panic’s announcement that their Napa, Calif. run won’t take place until the same weekend a full year later.
The cancelation of shows is part of a continued effort by the band to “make Widespread Panic shows safe as possible for everyone involved – from Band Member to audience member, and the unseen many in between,” according to the band’s website.
John Bell announced he had contracted the virus despite being fully vaccinated, on Aug. 13.
