Nine Inch Nails have announced that they will not perform their few 2021 tour dates, namely their Sept. 21 and 23 gigs in Cleveland with the Pixies.

“When originally planned, these shows were intended to be a cathartic and celebratory return to live music,” reads an official statement. “However, with each passing day it’s becoming more apparent we’re not at that place yet.”

And while the band will remain on ice for the time being, NIN braintrusts Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross did have some silver linings this year i.e. snagging a ‘Best Original Score’ Oscar for Soul.
