Ben Harper appeared on “Play with Sky,” from Ziggy Marley’s 2020 record, More Family Time. Now Marley has returned the favor by guesting on “Spin It Faster,” a new song from Harper’s forthcoming reggae release. As Harper explains, “I always have a few projects going at once. One of them is a reggae album which I’ve been working on for a while now. ‘Spin It Faster’ is the first single from this collection.” Harper wrote and produced the song, which he recorded at his studio The Machine Shop. It was mixed and co-produced by Ethan Allen at Royal Triton Studio. Harper has dedicated the song to the memory of Juan Nelson, longtime bassist for Ben Harper and The Innocent Criminals, who passed away in June.

“Spin It Faster,” which is available to stream/purchase has been released via Harper’s Mad Bunny Records. For more on the development of Mad Bunny, check out the recent Relix cover story on Harper.
