Lotus have added two dates to their upcoming run at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo. The band had previously announced shows on Apr. 23 and 24; they will now perform at the venue on Apr. 23 through Apr. 26.
“We are thrilled to announce… our first live in-person shows of 2021!” wrote the band in the initial announcement post. “Each night will feature two full sets from Lotus.”
Due to high demand, the band then added a third night, only to tack on another show later that day.
Earlier this month, the band announced a new studio record Citrus, which will drop on Apr. 6, shortly before the Red Rocks gigs. The record is a follow-up to their 2020 offering, Free Swim.
As explained by bassist Jesse Miller, “Citrus is the chill-out session to the Free Swim pool party. The music is more downtempo, drawing from 70s space-funk, rock and West African music. We’ve never played these songs live before, but I think they will feel like old favorites.”

April 6, 2021 at 1:38 pmI think as someone said in the last LOTUS/RR’s post, they are @ 2,500 capacity, They took people’s money now year(s) ago. So it sounds like they now will have to perform more shows to satisfy the original amount of tix sold. -Kamela
