After originally planning for a 20th anniversary tour in the summer of 2020, The Decemberists have pushed their plans once more, canceling their 2021 plans in favor of 2022.

In a message to fans, the group did note that “there’s every reason to be optimistic about the state of the pandemic and the possibility of live shows in the future,” but they choose to remain safe and cautious about their tour, especially when it comes to indoor venues.

“We plan on touring next summer; whether that will be in the vein of a similar tour of something new altogether, it’s too soon to say,” the band added. “We promise to be out there again, seeing all your shining, singing faces – covered or uncovered.”

Refunds are now available for all tickets purchased.
