NOLA mainstays and jam scene regulars Tank and the Bangas were sure to contribute to December’s Georgia Comes Alive benefit, performing their track “Spaceships” live from the Crescent City’s famed Tipitina’s club.
Georgia Comes Alive acted as HeadCount‘s non-partisan effort to get the vote out for Georgia Senate runoff on Jan. 5 – fans may recognize its similarity to the very successful Democracy Comes Alive, Quarantine Comes Alive and Justice Comes Alive events, which collectively raised close to $300,000 for a variety of causes.
“Spaceships” comes off Tank and the Bangas’ major label debut Green Balloon, which was released in 2019. Before the pandemic, the band logged performances at major music events like Jam Cruise and Bonnaroo.
