As part of their #SoundcheckSongs series, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real recently shared their take on Dire Straits’ Making Movies cut, “Romeo and Juliet.”
“When we’re on the road we use soundchecks to practice cover songs from artists that we’d like to play in live shows,” the newly short-haired Nelson explained in November. “What we did was he had each band member – there’s five of us – pick two songs from influential artists for us [to play].”
The video/recordings will be shared via the Lukas Nelson YouTube page on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
