Following the surprise release of his quarantine record Lonely Trip, Phish’s Trey Anastasio will perform in-person at New York City’s Tonight Show studio on Tuesday, Aug. 11, marking the show’s first in-studio gig since the city’s COVID-19 lockdown.

Wrote host Jimmy Fallon following the announcement, “First live in studio guest for us. All done safely and carefully. We are so psyched!!! Tonight!!”

In addition, as Anastasio will be in the studio, he announced that he will be performing alongside The Roots, who serve as The Tonight Show‘s house band.

Previously, Phish graced The Tonight Show Staring Jimmy Fallon stage in 2014 and 2016 to promote their studio projects Fuego and Big Boat, respectively. In 2000, Phish also appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and, two years later, Anastasio performed on the program. Fallon also famously collaborated with Phish when they were the musical guests on SNL in 2002.

Tune in to see Trey Anastasio on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tue, August 11 at 11:35
