Tonight – May 21 – Mike Gordon will host a special demo of his banjo-bass, designed by beloved Phish guitarmaker Paul Languedoc.
“Have you ever seen a banjo-bass ? Didn’t think so,” the bassist wrote to promote the event.
“It’s going to be a talk about the challenges with coming up with an invention and working with it, and now conceiving version two,” he added in an announcement video while strumming the contraption.
Fans can tune in to Gordon’s demonstration at 8 p.m. ET on Gordon’s official Instagram.

May 23, 2020 at 1:18 pmGordo, Boyd Tinsley, Ryan Adams, Gary Glitter, & oh, what the hell, Zamfir should form a band called “Ankle Bracelet” and hold a virtual concert from their respective sex dungeons! You know Shappy’d produce it and all (after Shappy’s fee) proceeds could go to NAMBLA!

May 22, 2020 at 8:00 pmHey Mark and Tim send a link for another banjo bass like the one Mike has in the video.
Thanks
Steve
May 22, 2020 at 3:09 pmYou didn’t invent it. Banjo bass has been around since the turn of the last century! Just because you merged a banjo on top of a four string bass doesn’t constitute a “invention”! Lol
