For this week’s “All The Years Live” series, Grateful Dead HQ is revisiting the band’s 1978 New Year’s Eve show at San Francisco’s famed Winterland Arena for a choice “Samson and Delilah” to open the second set.
“Tear that old building down they did!” writes GD legacy manager/archivist David Lemieux of the release. “From the Closing Of Winterland, the Dead certainly gave their home venue a wonderful, appropriate goodbye, with an all-night show featuring some of their greatest, most-loved songs. The building stood for another seven years before it was finally demolished in 1985.”

February 27, 2020 at 12:56 pm@Merch they had been doing better lately with a scant handful of songs not already released. Even if it’s from 93.
It’s just lazy considering that there’s so much more we haven’t seen in the vault. 12/31/78 is incredible however this is nothing to get fired up over.
