A number of area musicians will pay tribute to country pioneer Hank Williams at New York’s Hill Country Barbecue Market on Wednesday, January 1 as part of Hank-O-Rama. The New Year’s Day performance marks the 67thanniversary of Williams’ death.

New York outfit The Lonesome Prairie Dogs will serve as the house band for the 16th-annual event and a number of guests are slated to join the ensemble during the night. As of press time, those performances include: Patti Smith Group guitarist Lenny Kaye, Tammy Faye Starlite, Antibalas trumpetor Jordan McLean, Jack Grace and Sean Kershaw, among others.
