The Wood Brothers – a trio made up of brothers Chris and Oliver Wood (on bass and guitar respectively) and multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix – have released “Little Bit Sweet,” the third single from their forthcoming album Kingdom In My Mind (due out on Jan. 24).

According to a press release, “Little Bit Sweet” was the very first song that the trio recorded for their upcoming release. Kingdom In My Mind will be the Wood Brothers’ seventh studio record.

“We all have these little kingdoms inside of our minds,” said bassist Chris Wood regarding the new album (via press release). “Without really planning it out, the songs on this album all ended up exploring that idea in some way or another. They look at the ways we deal with our dreams and our regrets and our fears and our loves. They look at the stories we tell ourselves and the ways we balance the darkness and the light.”

In January, The Wood Brothers will begin an extensive U.S. tour in support of Kingdom In My Mind, highlighted by two nights at New York’s Webster Hall on Jan. 30 and 31 and a performance at The Ryman in Nashville on Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14). For more information, head to thewoodbros.com.
