The Band collaborator Professor Louie and his veteran project The Crowmatix have confirmed their annual Rick Danko birthday celebrations. The longtime Woodstock musician and his ensemble will celebrate the life and legacy of The Band’s bassist and singer—who was born on December 29—several times during the course the next month, appearing at Roslyn, NY’s Roslyn Hotel (12/13), Woodstock, NY’s The Colony (12/28) and Beacon, NY’s The Towne Crier (1/4). The Woodstock Horns will augment The Crowmatix at each of the special performances. Danko passed away on December 10, 1999 at age 55.

In the coming weeks, Professor Louie & The Crowmatix will also appear at Norwood, MA’s Fallout Shelter as part of the American Roots Television program with The Woodstock Horns (12/14) and at Plains, PA’s River Street Cafe on 12/14. In addition, they will lend their services to the annual KZE Holiday Party at Rhinecliff, NY’s Rhinecliff Hotel on December TK. Attendees are encourages to bring an unwrapped toy (newborns to 18 years of age).
